Poverty Is A Very Big Issue Affecting Other Societies
Poverty is a very big issue affecting various societies in the world. A country can be developed or underdeveloped and still have peoples suffering from poverty According to oxford dictionaries, poverty is the ââ¬Å"the state of being extremely poorâ⬠(ââ¬Å"Povertyâ⬠, n.d). Poverty can be seen as a negative thing to the society because, it means not having the necessities of life, not being able to get the appropriate education, not having a place to call home and so many other effects. It can be experienced by so many demographics including children. Child poverty is vital because, it deals with children who are so delicate and need a lot of care and love. According to UNICEF (2004), ââ¬Å"Children living in poverty experience deprivation of the material, spiritual and emotional resources needed to survive, develop and thrive, leaving them unable to enjoy their rights, achieve their full potential or participate as full and equal members of societyâ⬠(ââ¬Å"State of the worldââ¬â¢s children: Childhood under threat,â⬠2004). This paper would be focusing on child poverty in Afghanistan, causes, effects and ways in which organizations can be of help to them.
